Fruit diversification in Guadeloupe

The Caribfruits website, which was created in 2004, is entirely devoted to tropical fruit crops. The Caribfruits site totals over 174,021 hits per year.

BIONETAGRO

The original idea of the BioNetAgro project is to develop the use of insect-proof nets with small market gardeners in Benin and Kenya. This simple, effective and sustainable technique is adapted to each crop depending on local climate conditions. When integrated into an agroecological approach, this technique helps to reduce or remove the need for pesticides, improve production and increase the efficiency of irrigation. This project, funded by USAID and CIRAD, is based on a South/North & Public/Private multiple partnership, on multidisciplinary teams and on contrasting agroclimatic situations.
